About Us.

The Sanctuary

Miss Kitty Feline Sanctuary, Inc., ( Miss Kitty) a Georgia Non-Profit Corporation, is a No-Kill, No-Cage Facility, operated by staff and a majority of volunteers. The overall operations are administered by members of the Board of Directors, all whom are local residents.

The sanctuary is dedicated to assisting cats by providing a safe and secure NO-KILL adoption center, providing community wide effort in promoting spay and neuter and support for feral cat communities within the confines of Thomas County.

The sanctuary is a 4,100 square foot building located 425 Covington Ave in Thomasville, Georgia. The facility is located directly across the street from the City of Thomasville Rose Garden and Cherokee Lake Park. Our resident cats reside either inside our facility or outside in our secure enclosure that is attached to our building.

The Need

Miss Kitty is the first No-Kill, No Cage, All Volunteer Cat Sanctuary in Thomas County, Georgia. The operating structure of Miss Kitty has resulted in the sanctuary being considered as the largest such facility in South Georgia and possibly the largest of its kind in the State of Georgia.

Our Board of Directors is committed to the continued pursuit of our MISSION to meet the needs of the stray, homeless, and abandoned cats in our community. With thousands of abandoned cats living in our community, this need is tremendous.

Support of this need is pursued through a spay and neuter program directed not only at the cats residing at the sanctuary, but also those within the community.

SOUTH GA LOW COST SPAY & NEUTER CLINIC

The mission of the South Georgia Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic is to decrease the number of homeless animals there by decreasing the local euthanasia rates in our area by providing reduced cost spays and neuters for all dogs and cats.

In every community in every state there are many homeless animals that end up in shelters. Half of these animals are euthanized just because there are not enough people to adopt them. Our goal is to prevent thousands of unwanted births thus reducing local shelter intakes and needless euthanasia of dogs and cats.

The South Georgia Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic is designed for the sole purpose of spaying and neutering dogs and cats in South Georgia and North Florida. Vaccines, microchips and other pet health maintenance services are offered only at the time of surgery.
